Your "Grandma" Name

I spent the weekend with my son and his girlfriend. It seems impossible that he is 29, but it got me thinking about what I'll be called when I'm a "grandma", if that happens. Whether you're 40 or 60, most of us have thought about it.  What is, or what do you want your "Grandma" name to be?

I started thinking about what I would want mine to be while visiting my son and his girlfriend. Right now they just have a dog, but hopefully someday...

I got curious and here's here's what I learned about the most common grandma names.

Traditional Grandma Names include:

Grandma

Granny

Gammie (that's what my son called my Mom)

Grandmom

Nana

Southern Grandma Names include:

Meemaw

Big Mama

Mawmaw

Gram

Mimi

Unique Grandma Names include:

Birdy

Bunny

Kitty

Honey

Cookie

My son's girlfriend sometimes refers to me as "Mama Jane" so I'm thinking that might stick.

What's your Grandma name?
